January of 2001 Ric Blake, who has terminal thyroid cancer,
and his wife Diane invited me to follow them on their courageous journey.

Ric is the founder of ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association, Inc. Diane is the Bereavement Coordinator
at Merrimack Valley Hospice. Together, Diane and Ric are founding members of the Palliative Care Coalition
of the Merrimack Valley in Massachusetts.
